What To Expect
The departure time of this tour varies depending on the time of sunset at that time of year. Your adventure could start as late as 6pm or as early as 3:45pm. Contact the local operator if you didn’t verify your pickup location at the time of booking and still need to do so.
This 4-hour canopy climbing begins when you get picked up and taken to the Deception Pass State Park meeting location where your gear will be waiting for you. Once you get all suited up and listen to instructions from your guide, your group sets off for the climb. Make your way up to the top of the canopy, and then rest. Get your camera out to take pictures as you relax and watch the sun set over the Olympic and Cascade Mountains.
Once night hits, it’s time to rappel down the canopy back to where you started. With help from your guide (and your headlamp), rappel as you notice the moonlight through the trees as you go. After you get to the bottle, get taken to your hotel the same way you were picked up.
