If weather is too bad or if it is too dangerous to drive some of the scenic roads, guide will change tour route.
Guests should not go on this tour on their first day in Colorado due to possible altitude sickness
After Labor Day weekend the road to Mount Evans closes at summit lake at 12’840 feet
From November to April, waterproof shoes are highly recommended. Wool socks are also recommended.
Day of tour signups may NOT receive a lunch due to short notice. In this case, we will refund $10 and your guide will advise you prior to departure.
Guests who will be using an assistive device such as a scooter or walker, please contact us prior to your tour to ensure our vehicle has accommodating space.
The USFS retains the right to enforce last-minute road closures due to weather, emergencies, and last-minute road maintenance projects.
The proper summit of the mountain will be closed beginning September 3. We are still able to get above 12,250 feet at the Summit Lake however.
