James Weldon Johnson Park
This park is in the middle of downtown with many historic buildings and areas of significance to explore. The park is named for Jacksonville’s native son, James Weldon Johnson who wrote the song “Lift Every Voice and Sing” just blocks away from the park. The park is surrounded by things to explore including Chambline’s Bookstore, Sweet Pete’s Candy Factory, The Museum of Modern Art (MOCA) and the downtown library.
