St. Mary’s Glacier



Saint Mary’s Glacier is a pristine, semi-permanent mountain snowfield perched above St. Mary’s lake in Arapaho National Forest near Yankee Hill Road. Often described as the best of Clear Creek County Jeeping, Yankee Hill Road is a classic traverse of mining roads and Jeep trails that feature steep climbs, big rocks, washed out crossings, and downright challenging obstacles. A maze of trails that can be explored from various start points, Yankee Hill Road is a Colorado jewel. Please note: as the sun sets later during the summer, we adjust our start time to make sure you get the best views and experience! Contact us for exact start times!
