The ONLY Whale Watching tour with hotel pickup in Seattle! Our naturalist guides craft itineraries that reflect the best of what the State Park has to offer that day. Journey north of Seattle to Deception Pass State Park, a Pacific Northwest hidden gem with views that rival our National Parks! Explore the old growth forest among the jagged cliffs and secret coastlines before enjoying a seasonal catered picnic lunch. After lunch, we'll drive up to Anacortes and join our partners, Outer Island Excursions, on a 3-hour Wildlife and Whale Watching boat tour. The Outer Island Excursions Captain and Naturalist will share information about the Salish Sea while we cruise around the channels in search of whales and other wildlife. Our all-inclusive small-group day trip is limited to 10 travelers. We bring a local, organic lunch to eat outside when it's nice! We also bring assorted snacks, water, and other cold beverages for the day. Don’t worry about a thing.

Deception Pass State Park

Our first destination is Deception Pass State Park! Known as Washington’s favorite state park, we’ll spend some time here exploring trails in the old growth forest along the rocky coastline of Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands. If the tides are low, we’ll spend some time beachcombing!

Anacortes

After lunch, we’ll drive to Anacortes to join our partner, Outer Island Excursions, for their Wildlife and Whale watching tour! We’ll journey through the Salish Sea on a quest for Orcas, Humpbacks, Grays, & Minke Whales. We prioritize finding Orcas amongst the San Juan Islands, but we also frequently encounter seals, sea lions, porpoises, otters, eagles, and many sea birds.
